Been a long time allround angler, contributor to Angling Magazine, and one of the Stars of "The Fishing Race" on BBC

Inventor of the Pendulum cast and heavily involved in the development of breakout leads for beach fishing.

Designed the first lever drag multiplier reel with the bearings built in to the spool, this has lead directly to the modern long casting multiplier reels.
Always a multi man on the beach I switched to Fixed Spool a few years ago and started to use thin braid lines. These are much thinner than mono but caused me problems with sore and cut finger tips when casting heavy weights.

So I searched for a solution which allowed me to use my thumb to hold and release the lead weight so I could still cast and release like using a multiplier reel.

This lead me to design and make the Trigger.
